My Family
My name is Jahongir Usmanov, but friends call me “Jhon”. I was born in Tajikistan in 1981, but for the past twenty years, Brooklyn has been my home. In 2009, I graduated from Brooklyn College with BA in History, minor in Archival Studies, and obsession in Genealogy. I have learned to incorporate all three in my work and I have helped many individuals write stories of their families. Many Americans do have their beginnings in my hometown, and for this reason I named my company: All Roots Lead to Brooklyn.
